A Quintet of Hidden Gems: Small Treasures of Being a Member
It's a gift to be able to live life to the fullest. That's what we try to do every day at Olde Cypress, where we have some of the finest social and golf membership perks in Naples. Having access to diverse Clubhouse amenities, engaging activities, and an incredible golf course makes this a simpler task, but these are the things that our members already know and love. What about some of the more subtle joys to be found at the club? These are a few found treasures worth the recognition.
No. 1 Celebrated Natural Surroundings
Brad Haynes and his team have worked for nearly a decade to receive certification and renewal from Audubon International as a Certified Signature Sanctuary. This elite environmental certification is awarded to golf courses that "achieve the highest standards in environmental sustainability" and are committed to "protecting and preserving the environment for future generations." We are proud to be one of the few certified golf courses in Naples, FL with this recognition, but even more smitten with the scene that surrounds our everyday.
No. 2 Carts With Character
Part of making memories and preserving traditions is being able to express yourself. If golf is part of your life, your cart may feel like an extension of your personality. Many country clubs in Naples don't allow members to use personal carts on the course but we believe that you should be able to make a great first impression in every social adventure.
More than half of our members use their own country club golf carts which we encourage by offering affordable Trail Fee plans and by giving everyone plenty of opportunities to decorate their rides. We even host a Golf Cart Parade from time to time!
For many members, The Club at Olde Cypress is their forever home. And we hope that our members think of the club as their home away from home. We are proud to have an incredible team of leaders, many of whom have been with us for more than ten years. No. 4 Truly Unique Tennis Courts
You probably know about our Har-Tru American Red Clay tennis courts. But did you know? This "is the surface of the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship, the oldest tennis event in the world and the oldest sporting event in the United States still to be played at its original site."
Red clay has some real benefits for your game and health. It slows the speed of play which can help develop proper shot and point. It also allows you to develop balance and footwork, playing as often as you'd like without putting unnecessary stress on your joints.
No. 5 Coordinated Camaraderie
If you decide to move to a new place, it can be intimidating to create a new social network. Luckily, the friendly people and relaxed private club atmosphere of Olde Cypress make this transition a LOT smoother. We love to host themed events and tournaments (think Mardi Gras or Barbie) that give members a chance to get decked out in coordinating attire – and hopefully bond over a shared love of polka dots or flat caps.
Our members share a passion for fun and an appetite for the good life. There are a lot of big perks of being part of Olde Cypress and, sometimes, it's the little things that help create lasting friendships and memories…and make you feel like you truly belong.
