Here's a fun fact: April takes its name from the Latin word aperire, meaning 'to open' (just like flowers do in spring 🌼). Since the month is often associated with new beginnings and growth, it seems like the perfect time to kick off our coverage of the exciting refresh happening at The Club at Olde Cypress.

As we start this new season, we are excited to introduce you to a new outdoor space that's coming soon! A completely original 2,500-square-foot covered outdoor bar and terrace will offer expanded alfresco dining options. Members will be able to enjoy views of the verdant Olde Cypress golf course and serene nature preserves while grabbing a bite or savoring a sip. There will be flexibility for every mood here – casual bar and dining areas, plenty of TVs to catch the action, and chic, comfortable lounge seating to enjoy live music or spend time with neighbors.
 
 
 
And you know we couldn't forget about improving our team's work spaces! A brand-new full-service kitchen will allow for even more delicious dishes, including artisan-baked creations from the pizza oven.🔥To keep everything running smoothly, a new drainage system will be installed to support the club's new kitchen and outdoor bar. This spectacular upgrade to the clubhouse will offer even more places to unwind in style with friends, fresh breezes and breathtaking views. That's what Florida living is all about, right?! And it's one of the many perks of being a member at a country club of Naples. Our gifted General Manager, Ken Lanigan, told Club + Resort Business that "the clubhouse is the social heartbeat of our community, and this renovation will ensure that it remains a premier gathering place for our members for years to come." 

 
While you wait for these exciting additions to take shape, there's plenty to keep you surrounded by sunshine and fresh air. April is the month for both Earth Day (on 4/22) and Arbor Day (on 4/25)! Our wonderful friends at Audubon have put together some Ways That You Can Get Involved this Earth Day if you'd like to discover some "small actions you can take to help birds and help the planet."
